Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs: Weather Week!

Last week, we had a blast learning about the weather!  We started each day in the reading room, reading one of our favorite weather books.

After story time, we moved over to the craft room.  We discussed all of the different forms of weather.  Then the kids got to make their own weather mobiles!

Using construction paper and streamers, they drew scenes from the book and made their very own weather kites.

The kids had a blast at our Weather Dress Up station.  We set up a clothes rack full of rain jackets, sweaters, scarves, swim suits, sunglasses, and other clothes.  The kids were told what type of weather they should dress for. This was a great photo opportunity. :)

For our snack this week, the kids had spaghetti and meatballs!! They loved it.  Miss Jessica also found this cool rainbow snack idea from Pinterest.  Rainbow's on a stick.. A super easy snack.  You just melt marshmallow's in the microwave and add rainbow colored Trix.  http://keephomesimple.blogspot.com/2010/08/trix-on-stix.html
